Foundation Theatres operates two of Sydney’s premier large commercial theatres, the Capitol Theatre and Sydney Lyric, as well as our new intimate Foundry Theatre
Capitol Theatre
The historic Capitol Theatre is host to world class musicals, theatre and ballet. With a rich history that dates back more than 100 years, it is Sydney’s oldest and grandest theatre with a 2000 seat auditorium was fantastically imagined in an ‘atmospheric’ style.
Sydney Lyric
The Sydney Lyric opened in 1997 and has a history of welcoming legendary international performers. With its state of the art facilities, including an auditorium that changes size at the touch of a button, this theatre is a truly unique and premium venue.
Foundry Theatre
Foundry Theatre is a unique, intimate theatre nestled within the prestigious Sydney Lyric. Presenting a wide variety of premium entertainment, patrons are transported on a theatrical journey to an intimate space where anything is possible.
